China's New Silk Road and its impact on Iran's economic growth and political development
In recent years, political economy for the development of countries has been considered by many economists and political science theorists. Studies show that economic growth is directly related to political development. Regional and transregional institutionalism is one of the paths of economic development for emerging and developing countries. While political freedom is recognized as an important potential for economic growth, the impact of international economic development on a country's political development requires more careful consideration. The main research question is What effect does Iran's accession to the Chinese Silk Road project have on the economic and political development of the Islamic Republic of Iran? In this article, while examining the active role of a country in international projects, the effect of Iran joining the "New Silk Road" super project, which connects the economies of more than 60 countries through transit routes, on our country's political development was examined. Based on the defined indicators, it was concluded that regional institutionalism provides the ground for economic growth and then political development. This research is conducted according to the theoretical framework of neoliberal institutionalism and using library studies.
