The Relationship Between the Pressure Dimensions of Police Work and the Commitment of Mazandaran Police Officers
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between the stressful dimensions of police work and commitment of Mazandaran police officers (Sari) and presenting an applied model. In the research model, the relationship between job stress dimensions and organizational commitment in the organization is investigated. The research method was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of nature and method of data collection. The statistical population of the study consisted of all police officers of Mazandaran province (387 persons). Sample size was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan table of 195 individuals by random sampling. Therefore, two methods of field and library and questionnaire tools were used for data collection. Standard questionnaires (organizational commitment (affective, continuous, and normative) from the Allen & Meyer (1990) and Spector and Jags (1998) workload dimensions) were strongly disagree to strongly disagree. Descriptive methods, mean test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and structural equation modeling were used to analyze the data of the questionnaire and hypothesis testing using PLS software. The results showed that all the relationships between job stressors and organizational commitment dimensions were confirmed except for two relationships (workload with emotional commitment and workload with normative commitment).
