Modeling the fuzzy control mechanism of the intersection using colored Petri net in VANET to decrease the urban traffic
Nowadays with the increasing traffic density, travel time in the network of urban routes has become one of the most important issues in metropolises. A large part of travel time is concerned with the stop delays behind the intersections. Therefore controlling intersections for the sake of decreasing travel time has gained prominence. One of the usual ways of controlling intersections is acquiring traffic information through cameras, sensors and image processors and implementing fuzzy logic in order to reach the optimized timing.
