Imamiyeh jurisprudence on abnormal actions in religious mourning
In spite of the extremes views on the topic, some have agreed with all kinds of action in religious mourning absolutely, while some other have agreed only with crying. Examining the proofs and refuting the extremes, this paper have proved that such actions as normal chest and head beating being mostly common today is lawful and religiously agreed with. Those actions like self-mutilation and self-flagellation with spiny chain, however, that cause religion to be degraded or cause some kind of harms for man or society cannot be religiously agreeable. Furthermore, normal chaining is doubtful with regard to the area of agreeable proofs.
