Explaining the psychological components of the occurrence of delinquent behavior and its effect on crime prevention in urban design (Case study: Main Street, Rajai Shahr, Karaj)

One of the priorities of urban design is to pay attention to crime prevention through environmental design and its implementation in this area. With this approach, urban quality, satisfaction and the level of welfare of society will increase. Society sets the stage for the formation of identity, culture and behavior of individuals and attention to individual factors (such as the field of psychology and psychological environment) to understand the roots of an event through the actor and accurate understanding at various levels. Due to the spread of crime, this article has examined the issue of crime prevention with the approach of environmental psychological factors in urban environment design. The research method was descriptive-analytical in the shadow of statistical analysis and by means of tools, library studies, field observation and questionnaire. Image-based analysis method is multivariate regression test, semantic differentiation technique and SPSS software. According to the results, according to the components obtained from the research, in the dimension of psychological factors of the environment, components: arousal, differential association, environmental overload, culture and society, habituation and spatial anesthesia and in the dimension of crime prevention environmental design, components: Control, maintenance, design, care, congestion, will reduce crime in urban space design and will provide a safe environment for users of architectural and urban space.
