Examining the verses related to Mahdism in Surah al-ʾAnbīyā

Several verses of the holy Qur'an, through the methods of interpretation and inner meaning, refer to the teaching of Mahdism based on the Shiˈa’s point of view. Surah al-ʾAnbīyā is one of the Qur'anic chapters in which some issues related to Imam Mahdi (pbuh) are mentioned in several of its verses so, it is necessary to examine them carefully. The present research has investigated this type of verse in the mentioned Surah by a library-based method with a descriptive-analytic approach. By studying these verses as well as by using the related Hadiths, some items such as the punishment of the oppressors by the Imam, his Imamate and leadership, the issue of Rajˈat (partial resurrection), and the domination of righteous people on the earth in the future will be realized.
