Abstract:
Women’s role and influence in the field of political power has been analysed under a variety of aspects such as their political participation and activism, their involvement within parties, etc. However, so far, their thoughts and ideas have not been addressed separately from the context they live in. While it may seem that women act in a totally independent manner, nevertheless their actions are shaped and influenced by the dominant structures that model them into a feminine way. Moving from this assumption, I have explored the lived experience of Marzieh Hadidchi Dabbaq's political, one of the most important and influential women in contemporary Iranian politics; the reason is that, from a religious and traditional context, she has been able to penetrate the innermost layers of the domestic politics and also to access the military arena, considered one of the main male prerogatives, leaving her footprint even in this masculine field. The approach adopted in this work is a qualitative one.
