The relationship between family performance and parenting style with students\' stubbornness

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between family performance and parenting style with students\' stubbornness. The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of the study included all male and female students of Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch in the academic year 1401-1400. The sample size was 38 people who were selected by stratified random sampling. To collect the data, the Family Performance Scale, Cubasa Hardness, and Parenting Scale were used, and to analyze the results, descriptive statistical methods of mean and standard deviation were used, and at the inferential level, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression tests were used simultaneously. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between authoritarian parenting style and family performance with hardship (P <0.05). The results of regression analysis also showed that authoritative parenting style and family functioning can positively and significantly predict students\' stubbornness. The findings of this study highlight the importance of authoritative parenting practices and positive interactions in the family and guide family counselors to guide and improve their interactions.
