Measuring the level of media literacy of employees of security institutions in monitoring related news at the media level from the persuasive and cognitive aspect.

As long as the gap between the minorities monitoring the communication and the general public who are exposed to it is increasing, the need to exchange knowledge and raise the level of awareness regarding the use of media messages is an essential need; Because we often see that facing media messages is not deliberate and purposeful, but rather out of habit, and only a limited number of people monitor what they see, read or hear in the media. The purpose of writing this research is to measure the level of media literacy of employees of security institutions and its relationship with the monitoring of related news at the level of the media and especially the police command of Greater Tehran.

The current research is applied in terms of purpose and survey method; The data collection method of this research is library and field methods (researcher-made questionnaire); The statistical population of this research consists of a number of experts and experts in the field of information analysis and information review of Greater Tehran Police Command, numbering 88 people, and considering that there are less than 100 people, it is a census method.

Based on the findings and documented by the opinions of the statistical community, the level of persuasive and cognitive understanding of the employees of security institutions (Greater Tehran police command) in monitoring related news at the media level is 80.06%; Also, by referring to the linearity of the probability diagram and the low deviation of observations in all research variables and the linearity of the diagrams, as well as the degree of skewness and elongation of the demographic variables, the assumption of normality of the data distribution was confirmed, and considering that the t value obtained from the examination of the test for the variables independent is more than 1.96. Based on the findings, there is a significant relationship between the demographic variables and the level of media literacy of the employees of the security institutions (Greater Tehran police command).
