Identifying the components of organizational discipline from the point of view of Nahj al-Balagha

Abstract:
Aim

Organizational discipline has played an important role in human life and the management of societies. One of the key variables in the growth and development of any organization is having disciplined employees and order in the affairs of that organization; An order that is based on obedience and mutual respect between the organization and its employees and is necessary for success at work; Because it is in the shadow of this discipline that many organizational concerns will be resolved and the foundation of stable security will prevail in the organization; Therefore, this research has been conducted with the aim of identifying the components of organizational discipline based on the statements of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) in Nahj al-Balagha.

Method

The method of this research has been such that using the method of content analysis, the text of Nahj al-Balagha was identified with the stated reasoning and logic of organizational discipline in the direction of formulation and implementation.

Results

Based on the findings of the research, a total of 152 identifiers were identified in the form of 37 basic themes and 9 organizing themes of "justice-oriented", "compliance with laws and regulations", "adherence to organizational covenants", "acceptance of criticism and receptivity to criticism", " Appropriate decisions and actions", "Spiritual and specialized growth of people", "Communication and social skills", "Quality of organizational interactions" and "Complete handling of current issues" were organized. Finally, all themes were included under the comprehensive theme of organizational discipline based on the statements of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) in Nahj al-Balagha.

Conclusion

The final model of this research can be a basic basis for senior managers of organizations and provide solutions to improve organizational discipline in their organization. Based on the components defined in this research, managers can provide appropriate training for administrative organizations to perform as well as possible.
