Comparison of Mental Well-Being (psychological, Emotional, Social) and Corona-Induced Anxiety among Followers and Non-Followers Covid-19 News
While the world is in the midst of the globalization of the Corona virus, anxiety, stress and fear pervade the whole world and seem to have brought the world to a standstill. The aim of this study was to compare mental well-being (psychological, emotional, social) and coronary anxiety among followers and non-followers of Covid-19 news.
This study was a descriptive causal-comparative study. The sample consisted of 384 people who were selected by available sampling method and were divided into two groups of followers and non-followers of Covid-19 news (192 people in each group). The research instruments were Keys and Magyar Mental Well-Being Questionnaire (SWS) and Corona Alizadeh Fard Anxiety Disorder (CDA). Multivariate analysis of variance was used to analyze the data.
The results showed that the rate of social and psychological well-being in the group of Corona news followers was significantly lower compared to non-followers, and the level of coronary anxiety in the group of Corona news followers was significantly higher compared to non-followers.
The results of the present study indicate that the social and psychological well-being of followers of Corona news is low compared to non-followers.
