The foreign policy drivers of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the perspective of Ayatollah Khamenei in the second step statement

Abstract:

29 of the 31 points mentioned in the "Statement of the second step of the Islamic Revolution" have directly and indirectly addressed foreign policy.This shows the Supreme Leader's special attention to foreign policy in this statementThis study considers four issues as the four drivers of the second step statement in foreign policy, 1- Defining matter and meaning as two complementary elements in foreign policy design 2- Emphasis on resistance and independence 3- Emphasis on endogenous self-confidence and power 4- The connection of nation, Imam and ummah in foreign policy. The analytical framework of this research is "critical discourse analysis" and has studied the subject with a content analysis method with a library and documentary approach. The present study claims that by using the four mentioned engines, it is possible to reach the stage of building an Islamic country and a new Islamic civilization from the stage of Islamic Revolution, Islamic system and Islamic state.
