The educational curriculum in Sibawayh’s book in the light of morphological investigations (Mojarrad infinitive as a case)

There are two scientific and educational approaches to writing in the field of grammar. One of the characteristics of the educational method is to focus on mentioning the rules and not mentioning the differences. Paying attention to these things is in the hope that the learner will understand the language rules and consider them in speaking or writing. Another important aspect is that the educational method facilitates the way to understanding the phrase beyond the words. This method’s characteristics make the audience think, which is seen clearly in Sibawayh’s book. He does not attach particular importance to the evaluation of speech or writing, but he is serious in explaining the meanings to the audience, whether in the context of The Qur’an or other texts. The second method in addition to describing linguistic phenomena, explains them about other phenomena. This type of writing is about permissible and impermissible, causality and syntactic justification. The authors of the article believe that Sibawayh’s book is oriented towards the educational method because in all parts of the book there are evidences indicating the use of the mentioned characteristics in this method. We also studied the evidences in Al-Ketab and applied them to the Mojarrad infinitive of this book. On the other hand, it should be known that Sibawayh was not completely oblivious to the scientific aspect of Al-Ketab; rather, the issue of the dominance of the educational method is at the core of his book.
