India's foreign policy in Afghanistan (2001-2013); Emphasizing Afghanistan's role in securing India's national interest
After the events of September 11, 2001, India-Afghanistan relations took on new dimensions and India needed to reconsider its foreign policy in Afghanistan. Given the situation in Afghanistan, this country is of particular importance to India, and India has in recent years tried to achieve some of its goals through Afghanistan. Afghanistan's strategic position gives Pakistan the opportunity to limit Pakistan's influence and control, and in addition Afghanistan is a bridge between India and Central Asia so that India can access the region through Afghanistan and achieve its various goals. This study seeks to answer the question of what is the foreign policy of India in post-Taliban Afghanistan and what is the role of Afghanistan in securing India's national interests? The research hypothesis is that in order to achieve its national interests, India first seeks to integrate with Afghanistan by helping to develop and rebuild Afghanistan, and then set the country as a bridge to Central Asia in order to secure its economic and political interests by gaining the trust of the Afghan parties. to evaluate the hypothesis ,Zaharnas relational framework theory has been used . this research is descriptive - analytic and has been used to collect resources from the library method .
