Estimating the carrying capacity of sustainable tourism

The contradictions and conflicts between local people and tourists have destroyed these areas and show the incompatibility of the three elements of tourists, host society, and attraction, in which case we should not expect sustainable tourism development. The research is a literature review for which the information was collected via the internet and review of related articles. The investigated areas were Kish and Qeshm islands. The literature review results in the two regions show that Kish and Qeshm islands have a high potential for receiving tourists and are suitable tourist attractions. In Qeshm and Kish islands, concentrated tourist attractions are needed, such as mountaineering and hunting. For example, in Qeshm, some development is needed in fishing, desert tourism, and horse riding.
