Structural Equation Modelling of Educational Citizenship Behaviours Based on Family Emotional Climate and Family Cohesion by the Mediating Role of Academic Ethics

Abstract:
The present study was done with the aim of structural equation modelling of educational citizenship behaviours based on family emotional climate and family cohesion by the mediating role of academic ethics. The research method was descriptive-correlational and the statistical population of the study included all upper secondary girl students in khorramabad city to 9981 students in the academic year 2016-2017, of which the statistical sample size was determined based on the rules of thumb Kline equal to 240 people, which was done by stratified random sampling method and according to district and educational level. . To collect the required data from academic ethics hosseini nezad & et al (2016), educational citizenship behaviours golparvar (2011), family emotional climate questionnaire of Hill Berne (1964) and family cohesion samani (2003) was used. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and structural equation modeling. The findings showed a positive relationship between family cohesion and academic ethics with educational citizenship behaviours (p<0.01), but the family emotional climate and educational citizenship behaviours did not show a significant relationship (p>0.05). Also, the results indicated that family cohesion with the mediating role of academic ethics can explain educational citizenship behaviours (p<0.01). According to the obtained results, it is suggested that by creating cohesion in the family, it provides the basis for strengthening the moral foundations in children, which increases educational citizenship behaviours (adherence to rules, helping and participating, establishing cordial relationships) in them.
