Reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 after Aortic Valve Replacement for Infective Endocarditis
Although the COVID-19 pandemic started over 2 years ago, the uncertainty regarding the management of this severe disease continues to prevail. We describe a patient with aortic valve endocarditis complicated by COVID-19 postoperatively. Given increased symptom severity during reinfection, it is important to highlight the need for the long-term follow-up of these patients since they might be prone to another episode of COVID-19.
