Investigating the Relationship between Teacher Creativity and Creativity of Fourth and Fifth Grade Students in 11th district of Tehran
Considering the importance of creativity in students and the impact of the environment on individual creativity and the fact that the teacher is the most important factor in the school environment, in this study the relationship between teacher creativity and student creativity by comparing creativity and its constituent factors in a group of students with a creative teacher and a group of students with a non-creative teacher was studied. The subjects of the present study included 100 fourth grade students and 100 fifth grade students in Tehran's 11th district, in which half of them had a creative teacher and the other half had a non-creative teacher. In this study, first, two groups of creative and non-creative teachers were identified, then The Torrance Form B Creative Thinking Test was administered to their students. One of the most important results of the present study was that in both the fourth and fifth grade, students with creative teachers had higher mean scores on the creativity test than students with non-creative teachers. This difference is significant in both grades, but in the fourth grade this difference is more evident. In this study, the components of creativity have been compared in two groups and the results show that in four factors of fluency, originality, elaboration and flexibility, the mean of fourth grade students with creative teachers was more than students with non-creative teachers, but in the fifth grade, the difference between these factors of the two groups of students was significant only in the expansion factor.
