The amount of theft and social factors affecting it in Shirvan city

Since the phenomenon of robbery is one of the increasing problems of society, reviewing and identifying its solutions is very important for drying out the root of this crime. Research on the social factors affecting it can play a significant role in promoting the level of social security. . This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the social factors affecting theft among thieves and non-thieves in Shirvan city by descriptive, comparative survey method. The population of the study consisted of all the thieves in Shirvan city of 400 people who according to Morgan’s 196 people were selected in a simple random manner, but we compared the subject of the research to 200 thieves with 200 non-burglars. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire whose reliability was obtained using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient 95/0 Estimated. To test and analyze the research hypotheses, t-test was analyzed using SPSS 6 software. The results indicate that there is a significant and positive relationship between the social factors affecting theft and stealing. The results of t-test showed that the significance level of all variables was smaller than the standard number of 0.05, which indicates that all the social factors considered in the present research are effective on theft. The results of this study increase the need for education of children and adolescents from the very beginning of life by the family and other people associated with them.
