Sociological Explanation of Family murder with Special Reference on Spousal Murder (among youths)

Killing the family members especially killing the spouse, unlike other killing is not a random and non probabilistic violence but it has hidden sad stories of different kinds of family violence which comprises of different types of consequences such as pressures, personal and social harmful consequences. Therefore discovering the social and cultural factors affecting the spouse murder phenomenon which has been increasing in recent years and engaged many men and women as murderer or murdered, is necessary. This study, through using Meta analysis method, attempts to carry out the sociological explanation of affective factors on spousal murder issue. To analyze the issue we used two types of quantitative and qualitative studies in the field of family murder and spouse killing. In this research, emphasizing on mixed research method and multi factorial and using meta analysis techniques we investigated effective factors of family murders and spousal murders. The results showed that demographic variables such as age, gender, education and living place are affective on spouse killing, along with social factors such as history of violence in their childhood and marriage in early years can be mentioned. Also there is a difference among men and women considering the number and ways of killing in different studies.
