Investigating the relationship between types of violence against men and the personal characteristics of their wives in those who referred to community health centers in Sanandaj city in 2022.

Women's violence against men is an emerging phenomenon, and raising this issue is associated with conflicts due to the patriarchal roots that exist in the society. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between types of violence against men and the individual characteristics of their wives among those who referred to community health centers in Sanandaj city, 2022.

This study is cross-sectional (descriptive-analytical). The sample size was 341 women living in Sanandaj, who were selected by random sampling. The method of collecting the demographic information form and the integrated questionnaire of Alipour (1398) and Panahi (1389) was that its reliability and reliability have been confirmed. Was . The scoring of the question regarding the type of field was based on a 5-point Likert letter from very high to very low, and the reasons for violence were evaluated as a yes or no answer (two options). KMO and Bartlett's sphericity tests were used for the qualification and sufficiency of the data and T-teso x2 statistical tests were used to analyze the data at a significance level of 0.05.

The results showed that most of the 40-year-old women had a bachelor's degree, had two children, and were housewives. The standard and deviation of the total score of spousal abuse was 12.35 ± 8.03. Verbal violence with a rate and deviation of 69.6 ± 1.4, the index of the best behavior and average physical behavior with a mean and deviation of 0.85 490 was the lowest type of violence against men. Spousal abuse in women had a significant relationship with education, occupation, age and number of children (P = 0.001).

The results of this study showed that women commit violence with their husbands in various environments with different personal characteristics. Therefore, by increasing the level of awareness of families and spreading the culture of conversation and negotiation within families and their management, it is possible to correct and eliminate the violent behavior of couples as much as possible.
