Star compressed zero divisors graph and partitions of vector spaces

Abstract:

Let be a commutaive ring and be the set of zero divisors of . Define an equivalence relation on as follows: if and only if . The graph is a graph associated to R whose vertices are the classes of elements in , and two distinct classes are joined by an edge if and only if . We show that if is a local ring and is a star graph with at least four elements then has a partition of vector spaces where is the maximal ideal of . Also, We construct from a special partition of vector spaces, a ring whose associated graph is a star graph.
