Evaluation and Prioritization of Red Crescent Society Services- A Case Study in one of the Provinces of the Country
The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran is an Iranian non-profit organization and a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which has relief and humanitarian activities. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and prioritize the services of the Red Crescent Society.
This is a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted in 2017. The statistical sample of the study was 10 experts of the Red Crescent Society. Data collection was done using a researcher-made questionnaire with a content validity ratio of 0.99 and a content validity index of 0.79%. Cronbach's alpha was also 0.85 and the findings were analyzed using hierarchical analysis technique using Expert Choice11 software.
Evaluation and ranking of the dimensions affect the services of the Red Crescent population has been achievedby this order:. rescue in accidents (0.619), rescue in road accidents (0.154), voluntary activities (0.115), youth and education (0.060), and services for patients and the disabled (0.052).
According to the prioritization, the Red Crescent Society can have the best performance in disaster relief and in accordance with the last priorities, that was the youth and education and service to patients and the disabled, which seems to be parallel work with other organizations, it is suitable to outsource these services to other organizations.
