Fundamental differences and apparent commonalities between Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab and Sayyid Qutb in the issue of "ignorance"

Abstract:
Ignorance is one of the original Qur'anic and narrative concepts. There are so many interpretations on the meaning of this concept. This concept is one of the most frequent keywords in the works of Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab and Sayyed Qutb. Both of Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab and Sayyed Qutb consider the concept of jahiliyyah to be general and include acts of blasphemy and immorality. They believe that ignorance crystallizes in three areas of belief, promise and action; But their ideas differ in terms of applying this concept to practice, they have fundamental differences with each other, since Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab, maintain that correct actions such as supplication, seeking intercession, and seeking bless from the graves of the righteous are considered jahiliyyah. He believe that these Muslims are polytheist and their Shirk is worse than the pagans. But on the other hand, Sayed Qutb did not consider these cases to be Shirk. He applies this concept on cases such as "Ruling by other than what God has revealed", obeying from the kings and secular governments. Briefly speaking, Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab put some of the Islamic issues under the concept of jahiliyyah which is widely accepted by the Muslims, while; Sayyid Qutb, did not include a minor Islamic
