Exploring and Explaining the Drivers Affecting the future of Iran's economy in order to fulfill the declaration of the second step of the revolution

Due to the constant changes, continuous dynamics and environmental instability of the economic environment in Iran, analysis, control of drivers and foresight based on it has become more and more necessary. Therefore, the present study seeks to identify and analyze the key drivers affecting the future of the Iranian economy in order to realize forward-looking strategic document of the second step of the Supreme Leader's revolution. The present study is descriptive in terms of purpose and survey in terms of research strategies. For conducting research, the method combined with the dominant sequential exploration strategy has been used. First, the drivers were identified qualitatively and with the help of expert opinions, and were classified according to the EPISTELU model, which is a more complete model of environmental analysis, into eight groups: economic, political, institutional, social, technological, legal, academic and environmental. Then, using the fuzzy Delphi method, first the experts' opinions were collected through the distribution of a questionnaire and the drivers were prioritized. Then, by drawing the scatter diagram based on the two axes of uncertainty and impact, the main drivers were selected. The findings of the present study show that exchange rates, political stability, inflation control, oil and economic sanctions on Iran, economic corruption; Digital economy, e-government, productivity and knowledge-based industries, youth unemployment, and participation and social capital are the10 key drivers of the future of Iran's economy. Finally, based on the research findings, policy proposals for the Iranian economy are presented.
