Implementation of Supply Chain Management with a Military Approach Based on the Supply Chain Operations Reference Model Using Hierarchical Analysis Decision Making Method
The global competitive environment, and domestic requirements have forced the countries to think of ways to improve military supply chain processes by reviewing and managing them. Therefore, in order to improve military supply chain processes and its sustainable development, the need to apply military supply chain management approaches is increasingly emphasized. In this paper, in order to identify military supply chain management requirements, the supply chain operation reference model is localized based on military supply chain requirements. However, since in practice, the implementation of all these requirements is not necessarily possible due to limitations such as resource constraints, budget, technical constraints, etc. So after identifying the relevant requirements, the prioritization of these requirements for achieving the desired goals is important considering the mentioned constraints. For this purpose, the proposed approach is a combination of the supply chain operations reference model (in the identification phase of requirements) and the hierarchical analysis approaches (in the prioritization phase of requirements). According to the proposed approach, the concentration on inventory management is recognized as the key strategy and a vital option for improving military supply chain processes, and its related activities should be considered for such implementation.
