The impact of media techniques based on cognitive science on the thoughts of cyberspace users in university
With the development of Internet technologies and the increase of virtual life, the media techniques based on cognitive sciences to manage public thoughts and minds have increased in the direction of cognitive and hybrid wars, and the need to raise awareness in this field is fully felt. Considering the importance of this issue, this research is conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of some media techniques based on cognitive science on the minds of users in virtual space.
the method of the survey is correlation and applied type. The statistical population of the research consists of 135 students of Master's degree of Payame Noor University, Center Khoy, and the sample size is 100 according to Cochran's formula. The required data was collected using a researcher-made questionnaire. The content validity of the measurement tool was confirmed by using theoretical foundations and experts' opinions, and its reliability was confirmed by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient. To ensure the normality of the data distribution, the Kolmogorov Smirnov test was used, and the one-sample parametric T test was used to analyze the data and test the hypotheses.
The findings of the research showed that the media techniques of persuasion media bias, media streamlining and media lying have a positive, direct and significant effect on the minds of cyberspace users.
the authors of the survey conclude that the media, by using these techniques based on cognitive science, are able to direct and engineer their minds and thoughts in the desired direction of the media owners by seducing their audience in the virtual space.
