Abstract:
The route selection process as the first step in road design and engineering is always faced with various options, the most appropriate of which should be selected. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effective and influential criteria in decision-making and choosing the right option for building a road in mountainous areas. A case study in this research is the selection of the appropriate route of the Abgonji-Masjed soleyman axis using four safety and technical criteria, environment, cost and time. For this purpose, firstly, using the opinions of 15 experts, the weight value of each sub-criterion in the main criterion was determined and the score of the sub-criteria was determined based on the available studies and documents from the preliminary investigations, and then the weight of each criterion was determined using Shannon's entropy method. After that, using the simple weighting method, the final weight of each option was calculated and option 4 was chosen as the most appropriate option. After that, options 3, 1 and 2 were placed in the next ranks respectively. In the end, many factors are effective in the process of choosing a path, whose value and impact are not the same in the path. Road safety considerations and technical regulations of construction projects, the impact of the project on the environment as well as the physical structure of the area, the criteria that determine the cost and duration of the project are among the things that should be considered in the final decision.
