A Systematic Review of the Policy Implementation Framework for Digital Banking
The purpose of this research is to address theoretical gaps and the lack of theoretical discussions in this area and to provide a framework for evaluating the policy implementation of digital banking. In this study, an attempt has been made to systematically review the existing literature and theories in the relevant research areas, followed by the formulation of a research framework. The overall structure of this framework is based on the IPO model (Input-Process-Output) and the attractiveness evaluation pattern. The systematic literature review in this research was conducted using the Meta synthesis approach and based on the seven-step methodology of Sandelowski and Barroso. Top articles meeting the criteria for further examination and finding appropriate answers to research questions were selected, screened, and evaluated, resulting in the inclusion of 106 articles in the main analysis process. The research findings showed that the policy evaluation framework for digital banking consists of a total of 28 codes: 8 codes as input components, 5 codes as process components, and 15 codes as output components. Banks can prepare themselves for the changes and transformations in the digital transformation process, such as changes in strategy, technology, operations, customers, and organization, by identifying the inputs of the policy evaluation process for the implementation of digital banking, such as capabilities and available resources, stakeholders involved in the process, market position, communication channels, etc. Ultimately, these transformations will result in changes in the types of services, digital thinking, value creation models in business, systems, performance, competitive position, and so on.
