Modeling and optimization of flow performance inside the well using pipesim software
Due to the presence of huge oil and gas resources and the very high importance of transferring these divine blessings to refineries or export lines, the role of proper design of transmission lines and their economic effects is very important. The well provides the necessary pathway for fluid production from the tank to the ground-level equipment and controls the production rate. To model the network, decision-making for the most optimal production rate and its use in field development decision-making requires simulation of the entire network with all field equipment and limitations. There are several software programs for simulating flow in pipelines, each with several weaknesses and strengths. The project uses Pipesim software to influence Choke resizing on daily oil production and the effect of Choke resizing on pressure profiles. Is a stable state multiphase flow simulator software, used to design and analyze oil and gas production systems. The software can model multiphase flow from the tank to the wellhead. Pipesim has also been able to analyze pipelines and the operation of well equipment to provide a comprehensive model of Production System Analysis. According to the results obtained from Pipesim software, production can be significantly increased by changing the size of the Choke and taking into account flow regimes, as well as some features of pipelines.
