Goal programming model and inverse data envelopment analysis for estimating inputs
Estimating the values of the inputs when we change the values of the outputs as desired is one of the important applications of inverse data envelopment analysis. If we want to estimate the level of inputs (outputs) of a DMU among a group of decision-making units (DMUs), when some or all of its outputs (inputs) change so that cost efficiency is maintained or improved, inverse data envelopment analysis is used.
In the new method and model, inverse data envelopment analysis is presented with the help of goal programming to estimate the values of inputs when we change the values of outputs as desired by maintaining or improving the cost efficiency of DMUs. Also, in this connection, the results of the proposed model are examined using a numerical example and a case study of an automobile company.
In this research, cost efficiency is investigated by increasing desired outputs. A new model of inverse data envelopment analysis is presented with the help of goal programming to maintain or improve the cost efficiency of DMUs.
