Abstract:
The current research was conducted with the aim of designing a model of self-directed professional development with a micro learning approach in universities in the west of Mazandaran using a mixed method (qualitative and quantitative). Participants in the qualitative section include 11 academic experts, and 456 in the quantitative section. In the qualitative part of the purposeful snowball sampling method, and in the quantitative part, a statistical sample of 210 people was determined using the stratified random sampling method based on the Karjesi and Morgan table. The data collection tools in the qualitative part included semi-structured interview, thematic analysis (along with open, central and selective coding), and in the quantitative part, a questionnaire taken from the qualitative interview was used. To obtain the validity and reliability of the measuring instrument, divergent and convergent validity and combined reliability (CR), average variance extracted (AVE) and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were used. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test and analyze the model. SPSS.26 and PLS Smart.3 software were used for statistical data analysis. The results showed that the professional development model of the leader with micro learning approach includes three main categories of antecedents (with 5 dimensions and 40 indicators), processes (with 3 dimensions and 36 indicators), and consequences (with 2 dimensions and 19 indicators) with the overall fit index of the model. was confirmed as 0.620 (GOF).
