Comparing of Fatigue Intensity in the Third Trimester of Pregnancy in Employed and Unemployed Women

Abstract:
Background and
Purpose
Fatigue is one of the pregnant women's prevalent complaint in pregnancy period, that is occurred because of the ambibalance of body energy, pregnancy physiologic changes, and in severe conditions it mat have bad- effect on the result of pregnancy. According to this matter that being employed in a job leads to the mental health of pregnant women. In this relation this research is accomplished by the objective of determining and comparing of fatting intensity in the third trimester of pregnancy in by the objective of determining and comparing of fatigues intensity in the third trimester of pregnancy in employed and unemployed women who referred to Mashhad pregnancy care centers in 1380.
Method
This is a descriptive – analytic and cross sectional research that is done by multistage sampling method on 100 employed and 300 unemployed pregnant women that involve the sampling specifications. The instrument of research included interviews from for choosing the sample, DASS21 criterion, fatigue intensity and interview from for gathering the sample's characteristics that were completed in a private session.Analysis was done by X2, T-test, one way and two ways variance analysis and general linear models by utilizing SPSS software and 95 percent coefficient.
Findings
Findings showed that there was a significant difference in fatigues intensity between two groups in third trimester of pregnancy (p<0.0001), so that in employed group 15 percent of women had excessive fatigue. While in unemployed only 1.3 percent had excessive fatigue. Also, mean of fatigue grades in employed group was 55.3±8.7. According to the other variables two groups were equal. Findings showed that effective factors on fatigue in to groups include sleep satisfaction (p=0.0001) socio – economical class (p=0.026), well arranged sport activities (P=0.026), helping in house works (p=0.001), employment (p=0.0001).
Conclusion
Employed women experience more fatigue that unemployed ones. So, research suggests that there should be established supporting network for preventing of the side effects of fatigue and lows proportionate to pregnant employed women.
