Ijma [Consensus] From the Viewpoint of Fariqayn

The present survey, casting an eye over the book "موسوعة الاجماع في الفقه الاسلامي", written by saedi Abu-Habib, aims at studying and criticizing Ijma' which is meant by Ahl-e Sunnah, and also some differences and characteristics of Ijma' meant by Imamiyyah will be discussed. For instance, in the viewpoint of Ahl-e Sunnah, Ijma' is independent and equal in rank with ketab [Holy Quran], Sunnah [or Sunnat: tradition, words and practice of The Prophet], and AqL [reason; reasoning power]; however, in the viewpoint of Imamiyyah, Ijma is a part of Sunnah. The present essay also discusses The harmful and destructive effects y The Ijma of Ahl-e Sunnah".
