Examining the relation between Education Manager's Reflective Thinking and their Assistant's Views about their Managerial Functions.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to examine the relation between managers’ reflective thinking aspects (generality, contemplation and flexibility) and improvement of their managerial duties (planning, evaluation, organizing, communication and mentality). In this study demographical aspects (age, sex, years of service and education) are examined.The research statistical population includes all educational managers and their assistants in 56 high schools of Kashan, Iran. 30 managers and 30 assistants have been chosen randomly as a sample. The research method was descriptive and correlational. For this study two questionnaires have been used:1) A questionnaire for reflective thinking consisting of 20 locutions organized in a five-choice criterion of Likert.2) Another questionnaire for attitudes of assistances towards the managers’ duties consisting of 30 locutions for examining the functions of managers through items (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)The statistical analysis of research was conducted by correlation, t-test and Analysis of Vaiance (ANOVA).The results of the research show that there is no significant relationship between reflective thinking aspects and improvement of managerial duties of managers. There is also no significant difference between reflective thinking aspects of managers having high or low performance.
