The Martyr and Devotee in the Palestinian Resistance Poetry (A case study: Ebrahim Towqan)

Abstract:
The resistance literature is born from quarrel and war between two armies. The history of this quarrel returns to the birth of human prototype. Here, the literature as a social institution uses the language as a means of communication to depict individual and group endurance. The contemporary critics believe that the most important literary outcome of the war between Zionists and Arabs is the birth of resistance literature.Ebrahim Towqan Nablusi is among the most famous poets in Palestine resistance whose poems are mostly devoted to resistance. several of his poems are about the martyrs and the disabled.In this article, we want to show how Towqan has portrayed the martyrs and what traits the martyrs own. The authors have enumerated 23 features for the martyrs after analyzing Towqan's poems.
