Introduction to foundations of sex education in Islamic Education

Sexual instincts are important among other incentives and cause fundamental changes in the personal and social life. Based on the results of some researches, parents lack of knowledge and familiarity with proper sexual education and the existence of modesty between them and their children for responding to sexual issues has caused deviations and problems. However, Islam has responded all of the requirements of human. In this paper, based on human characteristics and after addressing the need for sex education and its aims in religious education, with analysis method, the foundations of sexual education in Islamic texts and Islamic thinker's books has been studied. After these investigations, items such as continuity of generations, realistic, normality of sexual needs, human agency, environment agency, values and principles of empowerment and attempts were discussed.
