A Semantic Study on the Names Of the Suras

The names of the»suras«are made to indicate the main purposes towards the different fields and subjects to show the common concepts in Koran. Thus there is a deep and symbolic relationship between the names of the suras and the contents and concepts of the suras. This article studies some suras’ names concerning the class of belief and school of thought, as in the following chapters: 1- here the place of the names of the suras in Koran is discussed. 2-Classification of the names of the suras according to Koranic denomination is a peculiar one in my view. 3-Conceptual classification: in this chapter, I mention the reasons for putting the names of the selected suras in the semantic field and class of belief and school of thought. 4-Here the concept of the names of the Suras is analysed, and an etymological search, I demonstrat the basic concepts of the roots of the suras.
