The effect of ethephon application on yield and some growth parameters of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) cv. jordis hilares 8911

In recent years, varieties of greenhouse cucumber cultivation in Iran haveincreased. Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) varieties jordis hilares 8911 Partenokarpgood performance and efficiency of this research has investigated. The necessity ofincreasing utilization of new scientific findings in modern agriculture, more economicalto make greenhouse production and use of Relationship Plant growth regulators onyield and plant growth, are the objectives of this research. The study of plant growthregulator ethephon matter with the scientific name ([2-chloroethyl]phosphonic acid)concentration of zero, 200, 240 and 280 mg.lit solution spraying has been used.Parameters related to vegetative growth (plant height and leaf number (reproductivegrowth) number of female flowers and fruit number (and yield of cucumber wereinvestigated. The study carried out based on completely randomized design with fourreplications. Results showed a significant difference between the application ofethephon on the number of female flowers, fruit number and yield of cucumber.Ethephon application at three levels increased the average number of fruits, and thenumber of female flowers in jordis hilares cucumber plants. The highest fruit yield perthousand square meters to 280,240 applications mg.lit was related to an average ofethephon 11052/38 and 10649/38 kg 1000m2 and the lowest yield fruit to controltreatment, was related to rates on 9575/63 kg. 1000m2 Ethephon application had noeffect on plant height and number of leaves.
