Message:
Abstract:
Political geography and geopolitics of Tehran metropolis is full of historical and political experiences of Iranian nation. This city has acted as the heart of Iran and the main base of the country in all political، economic، cultural، and social dimensions and even military and security affairs for more than two centuries. Perhaps when Tehran was selected as Iran’s capital city، one might not have thought that this city، at least for a long period even after the change of state structure and regime of Iran، would remain as Iran’s capital city. Accordingly، review of the political history of this city during its political life، shows that during the last two centuries، vital key of survival of Iran lies in the political centrality of this city. However، in accordance with the realities of the Iranian political geography، it is not acceptable that Tehran’s politics would be stable forever. In general، the main purpose of this paper is the study and analysis of Tehran’s role as a power center in Iran’s political geography structure and political organization of its space.
