The State of the Art on Israel Studies in Iran

In Iran one can find numerous researches done on Israel and many researchers have endeavored to study the Zionist regime from various aspects. However, there is no research on the state of the art on Israel studies in the country. This article seeks to shed light on the state of the art on Israel studies in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Accordingly, the main question here would be “what is the status of Israel studies in Iran?” To answer the question, this article will survey the available literature on Israel in the country, so to provide a rather complete map on the status of these studies and highlight the research gaps in this area of knowledge which has to be considered by researchers while revealing weaknesses and strengths of such studies. Accordingly, this article has nothing to do with the content and data existing in this literature (including descriptions, explanations and prescriptions). To study and analyze critically the content of research done regarding Israel in Iran, there would be a need for further research.
