The Rhyme in Shams Qays's Opinion

Author(s):
Abstract:
Shams Qays Razi, a seventh century (A.H.) researcher, is a unique intellectual in the history of Iranian literature. His invaluable book al-Mujam fi maayir al-ajam is unique in terms of understanding poetry to this day. From the seventh century to the age of Nima, all men of letters who have penned on this topic and, after that, all traditionalist men of letters who have focused on this topic have done nothing more than a re-writing of materials borrowed from al-Mujam. It is surprising that innovators have also exploited it. And so much plagiarism has occurred in these re-writings and exploitations! In this article, the writer deals with the understanding of rhyming according to Shams in the hope that we can at least do a little of our responsibility toward this great man.
