Relationship between Perceived Job Charactristics, Job Roles and Burnout

The purpose of this correlational study was to study the relationship between perceived job charactristics, job roles and burnout amongst the staff of central organization of Islamic Azad University. Instruments used were Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI), Job Charactristics and Job Roles Questionnaires which were responded to, by293of the staff working in the Central Organization of the Islamic Azad Universitiy. The regression analysis revealed that job charactristics and job roles can be known as predictors of the three phases or components of job burnout(emotional exhaustion, reduced sense of personal accomplishment and depersonalization).
