Abstract:
Introduction
This study was performed to evaluate the prevalence of low T3 syndrome among patients with heart failure and to assess the correlation between decreased level of tri iodothyronin (T3) with mortality rate.
Methods
In a prospective cross-sectional study, 91 patients with systolic heart failure were admitted to Mohammadi hospital in Bandar Abbas in 2008.Thyroid function test was done for every patient, then all of the cases were divided into two groups, according to 60≤T3≤120 mg/ml in normal T3 group and T3.
