  • Investigating the Level of Parents' Participation in Doing “The Work and Technology” assignments of the Sixth Grade of Asadabad City in the Context of Virtual Education

    Purpose
    This research was conducted with the aim of determining the level of parents' participation in completing “The Work and Technology” assignments of sixth grade primary schools in Asadabad city in the context of virtual education.
    Methodology
    The statistical population includes parents of 600 students of the sixth grade of primary school in Asadabad city. The sample size was determined as 234 based on Morgan's table. The sampling method is random. The research is an applied and descriptive type of. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. The findings were analyzed using T test (the one-sample).
    Findings
    The results of the data analysis showed that the level of parents' decision to participate in doing exercise type of assignments and preparing “The Work and Technology” lessons of the sixth grade in the context of virtual space is medium and in doing developmental and creative assignments is lower than than average.
    Conclusion
    The amount of parents’ participation in doing practice and preparation tasks is average and in doing developmental and creative tasks is lower than average. The amount of parents' use of the direct guidance mechanism in doing practice and preparation tasks is average and in developmental and creative tasks is below average. The amount of parents' use of reinforcement and modeling mechanisms in doing practice, preparation, development and creativity tasks is lower than average.

  • Characteristics of successful schools in the future from the experts’ point of view

    Purpose

    Education plays a key role in the development of people’s knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values and makes it possible for them to have a better future. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of successful schools in the future.

    Methodology

    grounded theory methodology, which is a type of qualitative research method, was employed. First, 20 academic experts in the area of education were selected via the purposive sampling method so as to achieve theoretical saturation. Then a semi-structured interview was used to collect data. Data analysis was performed following the three-step systematic coding process (open coding, axial coding, and selective coding). Finally, the desirable characteristics of future schools from the experts’ viewpoints in terms of curriculum, technology, teachers, managers, and the existing limitations were identified and classified into six structural categories of the grounded theory (that is, causal conditions, intervenient conditions, phenomena, context, strategies of action or interaction, and consequences).

    Findings

    The results of the data obtained from the experts demonstrated the necessity of having a continuous revision programme to revise the elements of the curriculum (objectives, contents, instructions, grouping, timing, etc.) in accordance with the requirements of new developments. Experts also believed that developing metacognitive skills, technological competencies, cooperative teaching skills, facilitative skills, etc. were important factors for the success of teachers.

    Conclusion

    Moreover, that acquiring the competencies and capabilities needed for educational leadership by educational managers and keeping up with the changes and developments would provide a better and brighter future for the stakeholders of the education system.

  • Designing a brain information management curriculum in order to develop a degree with a focus on brain information management

    Introduction

    Curriculum refers to formal and informal content, process, content, overt and hidden training through which the learner under the guidance of the school acquires the necessary knowledge and acquires skills and changes attitudes, appreciations, and values. In this research, the compilation and design of a brain information management curriculum was discussed with the foundational data theory method.

    Methods

    In this research, the foundation's data analysis technique has been used as the main research strategy. Interviews were used to collect research data. The participants were 17 experts in this field. The analysis revealed 67 codes or primary concepts.

    Results

    Curriculum objective (14 factors), curriculum logic (12 factors), and techniques (11 factors) had the highest number of concepts.

    Conclusion

    The content, materials, and resources that are needed to develop such a curriculum can be extracted from existing sources and some of these materials and resources need to be designed and developed. It covers the spectrum of information analysis, processing reconstruction, information pathogenesis, information management, infomorphology, infotherapy, brain function, and neuroscience. Some of these contents are available and it seems that more of them need editing. The evaluation and evaluation method appropriate for this course was the formative evaluation method.

  • An Evaluation of Teachers’ Research Qualifications: a Comparison between the Existing and Desirable Conditions

    Purpose

    The present study aimed to evaluate teachers’ research qualifications by comparing the existing and desirable conditions.

    Methodology

    The data collection was carried out according to a mixed method (qualitative-quantitative) approach.

    Findings

    the results showed that the mean values obtained for teachers’ research qualifications were above 4 in 9 components and between 3 and 4 in six components, and this indicated that the investigated primary school teachers’ research qualifications were at an upper intermediate level. However, in terms of the detailed analysis of the findings, it should be noted that the mean values obtained in the specialized aspects of research qualifications, including teamwork and networking, research and managerial skills, knowledge skills, and technology-oriented skills and digital literacy were below the mean of 3.5. This indicated that the teachers evaluated their general qualifications at a high level, while they considered their specialized qualifications to be at lower levels.

    Conclusion

    Based on the findings of the study, authorities, particularly decision-makers in the Ministry of Education and Farhangian University, are recommended to consider convenient programs and training courses to develop and enhance teachers’ research qualifications, and the curricula utilized by Farhangian University put more emphasis on the teacher-as-research approach.

  • Examining the teacher's performance with learning motivation and academic vitality of female students in the first year of high school

    The aim of the current research was to investigate the relationship between teacher performance and learning motivation and academic vitality of female students in the first year of high school in the 8th district of Tehran in the academic year 2021-22. The current research is part of applied research in terms of purpose and correlational studies in terms of method. The research community comprised all 4500 female students of the first secondary school in the 8th district of Tehran, and 338 people were included in the analysis in a random cluster. To collect information, three questionnaires on teacher performance by Patrick Heasley et al. (2000), learning motivation by Kashif et al. (2013), and academic vitality by Hossein Chari et al. (2013) were used. Research data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and regression tests. The results of data analysis showed that there is a relationship between teacher's performance and learning motivation and academic vitality. Also, the results of data analysis using regression analysis showed that the sub-components of teacher enthusiasm, competency feedback and variety of methods, basic knowledge, preparation for class, experiential learning, and relaxation can predict learning motivation and independence support is related Being, taking care of students, communication interaction, preparation for class, increased attachment and relaxation can predict academic vitality.

  • The Challenges of Learning and Practical Activities of the Undergraduate Biology Curriculum in the Coronavirus Conditions

    Purpose

    Identify the challenges of professors' teaching activities and students' learning in virtual classes in COVID-19.

    Methods

    This research was conducted with a qualitative approach and grounded theory. The target population is 36 Biology professors and students from different universities in Afghanistan, Which was conducted using targeted interviews with 20 men and 16 women.

    Results

    Show that professors and students are facing problems in five important areas of learning and practical activities: limited access to the Internet, lack of practical activities, lack of justice and transparency in evaluation, and change in the time and place of teaching, which in the conditions of the coronavirus education programme has affected the Biology Curriculum.

    Conclusion

    The learning and empirical activities of Biology are one of the required elements of the curriculum, which has faced challenges and opportunities in the context of the spread of the coronavirus and virtual classes. Challenges can be reduced by creating a balanced infrastructure in all regions of the country and investing more in educational technology.
