Analyzing the level of consuming and satisfaction of citizens from Information and Communication Technology in new towns

Present article analyses quantity، methods and availability of Information and Communication Technology for citizens from two towns namely Parand and Pardis. It also discusses about level of the citizen’s satisfaction from the municipally services in these two towns. Methodology of present article is based on survey (statistic method) and the aim of the article is to find out and study the influences of modern Information and Communication Technology on structuring the new towns based on theories about Public sphere and Network society form Jurgen Habermas and Manuel Castells. The research question in present article is; “To what extent، citizens of new towns in Iran enjoying the modern Information and Communication Technologies and how these services solve their municipally problems” In this respect، 382 numbers of inhabitants from these two new towns respond to the questioner which is consisted of 36 questions. Data were analyzed by SPSS and the results are presented by statistic figures such as Chi square boxes and Frequency distributed boxes. Some of the important findings from that research are: A big portion of respondents (83%) use PC in their homes. About half of participants (52%) are accessed to internet. However، only (17%) of respondents access to fast internet21 percent of participants use internet on daily bases. Finally، 98 percent of participants are using mobiles system. Basically they use mobiles for sending and receiving massages، photos and entertaining clips. More than half of the participants (52%) in the survey form both towns in have a low level of satisfaction with regards to these services they receive.
