Social Factors Influencing Cooperation Rate Case: Members of Amol Engineers Center

Cooperation is an important factor contributing tothe survival of groups and organizations. It has been observed that cooperation often increases morale, social and human relationship at work and raises productivity and quality level in complex settings. When two or more persons take partin a cooperative effort to obtain purpose or purposes the combined effort takes the form that the success of one person facilitates the success of others. Since most of technical and engineer endeavors are not conducted by one person only they need continuous cooperation of several people then cooperation in such technical groups is of great importance. This survey utilizes Durkheim and Putnam theories about cooperation. Data was gathered by the questionnaire. Statistical population of this study was all engineer members of Amol Engineers Center in 1387 (2008) who worked in groups. Since the size of members that had these features was small all of them were studied and finally 236 questionnaires were filled. The data gathered thereby was analyzed through SPSS, and descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Results of this study indicate that most of of engineers regard their cooperation level with the rest of engineers as being low. In addition results of multiple regression analysis show that among independent variables of this study,، ،relationship network'' (beta = 0/46),، ،trust'' (beta = 0/30) and، ،participation in professional groups'' (beta = -0/19) have significant effect on the rate of cooperation.
