The effect of the Islamic revolution of Iran on Shi ite geopolitics

Message:
Abstract:
The Islamic revolution of Iran may be called the greatest event in the history of Shi’ism in the present century. The revolution changed the status of Shi’ism as an important geopolitical center in the world, promoting the political understanding of Shi’ite Muslims in the region and organizing them. The revolution also had an effect on the world level. The Shi’ite Muslims throughout the world have been attracted to this revolution and its charismatic leader. The current paper deals with the question of the effect of the Islamic revolution of Iran on Shi’ite geopolitics. The study is based on the assumption that the universal effect of the revolution has affected directly and indirectly the development of Shi’ite geopolitics with the revolution being a source of inspiration to Shi’ite Muslims. Also, Shi’ism has turned in the world as an ideology for revolution. As a result, the Shi’ie Muslims, with a strengthened sense of self-reliance, have established political parties to promote their political position in the society and to play a more important part in the politics of their courtiers.
