Analysis of Islamicization of Knowledge from Viewpoint of Farouki and Alvani

The present article aims to analyze the processes of religious knowledge in world center of Islamic thought.The author of the paper studies the ideas of" Ismail Farouki "and" Taha Jabber Alelvani" about islamicization of knowledge. The most important parts of the present study are as follow: The meaning of islamicization of knowledge, the Muslim backwardness, colonial west, the principals of ontology, methodology of Islamic knowledge and operational process of the mentioned subjects from viewpoint of "farouki "and" alelvani". The method of the research is analytical-documentary. The results of the article show that: 1- Elvani understands the problem of Muslim backwardness well and suggests a proper solution as islamicization of knowledge and insists on epistemology and methodology but because of his philosophical weakness, doesnt succeed to present a epistemological and methodological appropriate system in islamicization of knowledge.2-Elvani realizes that knowledge and knowledge methodology is not neutral but regards post modernism and relativism. The author of the article concludes that Islamic knowledge is based on fundamental principles of ontology, epistemology and methodology of Islamic knowledge and hierarchy of knowledge. There are some ambiguities in Farouki and attas in this field but overall their efforts and ideas have been effective in forming the discourse of Islamicization of knowledge in Islamic world.
