Obstacles to the Development of the Iranian-Islamic Model of Progress

The features of Iranian-Islamic model of progress and its fulfillment can be seen as a function of its situation and context of development. Like other national programs, this strategy is faced with various opportunities and threats, which should be examined in advance. This article adopts a normative approach to the development of this model.In the course of our independent and self-reliant progress, we have been influenced by a methodological discourse based on the mysticism-technique pole in which nativism has been rejected. If Iranian-Islamic model of progress is developed in this context, there will still be fear of neglect of nativism and even democracy. Organizational formation of idea, technicism in development, and theoretical impatience in accepting differences are among the most important problems that reduce the efficiency of this strategy. Insistence on technicism and engineering of idea negatively affects the nativism and dynamism of it, and diverts it from the field of social and political theorization. The common belief in the neutrality of technique has created a great opportunity for the dominance of the technical idea over the indigenous social idea in the country.
